Water Pump Body or Housing# 1733997 – Dodge – DeSoto – V8 – 1957-58 – NOS
Fits 1957-58 Dodge Coronet, Coronet Custom, Royal, 1957 DeSoto Firesweep models with 325 V8 engines. This is the cast iron water pump body or housing unit. It mounts to the front of the engine block with 4 bolts per side around the the water jacket provisions. The thermostat and hose inlet is located in the center on the top, and the lower hose outlet is on the lower left drivers side, and the water pump mounting area has a 5 star bolt pattern on the front side. Very good condition, not pitted or cracked, and no stress from use. All the threaded holes in the casting are in excellent condition, they are not weak or stripped. There is some light surface rust on the backside, but no deep pitting. The casting numbers are clear and readable. 7-43-1.
