Blue Star Performance alternator restoration services provide complete concourse detailing with over 15 years of experience. Our parts have been featured prominently in a number of award winning cars. We restore customer cores or we can provide restoration of a core purchased from our inventory. The restoration process involves a complete disassembly and cleaning of all individual durable pieces. After that all serviceable components are replaced with the customer’s choice of new or NOS components. Serviceable parts include bearings, brush sets, bushings, capacitor, and diodes. We then use several techniques to highly detail the end frames. Final amperage output will be to O.E. spec, or can be adjusted to a higher output. We then treat the stator and rotor assemblies with our specialized winding coating, for that original O.E. appearance! The final assembly is capped off with a freshly painted pulley and arrives in “bolt-on” condition. In the event of major component damage being discovered during the disassembly, we will contact the customer and make arrangements for replacement, or return of their core. Major component replacement and amperage adjustment is not covered in the price of restoration services, but we have many parts on hand and are happy to accomodate the purchase of a replacement part so that the restoration can be completed. Prices also do not include shipping and all shipping charges to or from the customer are the responsibility of the customer. All final assemblies are tested before shipping back to the customer and are warranted against faults in craftsmanship for 90 days. Warranty will not cover faults caused by improper handling, installation, or application. Any modifications to the final assembly, as shipped, will void this warranty. Modifications include, but are not limited to: Changing of pulley, alteration of stator, application of paint or other finishing products.
