Dodge Charger R/T – WS23U1G – 440 4BBL – Auto – Project – 1971 – USED – REDUCED PRICE !!

1971 B body Dodge Charger R/T, 2 door hardtop, an original 440 HP with 4 barrel with floor mounted automatic transmission. WS23U1G; St. Louis built models. The engine and trans are not the original items,it currently has a complete 1973 440 engine from a C body, top pad reads “J 440″ and a 727 Torqeflite trans part# 2801543. The engine was in running condition before being parked many years ago,and is not in running condition. It is complete from thermo-quad carb to oil pan,and has the exhaust manifolds with dual exhaust pipes to the rear with turn downs. The rear end is an 8 3/4. Manual 11″drum brakes all around, with power steering. The pump and pulleys are there. It has the 22” radiator# 3443961 and correct K frame w/skid plate, cross member and front sway bar. The leaf springs and torsion bars appear to be originals. The front fenders are dented and damaged, the rear quarter panels are usable, but will need some metal repair. The lower rockers and inner door jambs are good. Trunk floor has some areas needing work, and the extensions are weak and will need repair or replacement. The inner wheel houses look to be usable,no visible rust from trunk view. Deck lid has some lower lop rust. The main floor section has rust, firewall section looks good. The inner fenders have rust by the hood spring areas. The roof is damaged and will need a new panel, windshield and both right and left side door glass is broken, and the right side quarter glass track needs work. Chrome bumpers with black R/T grilles, 2 speed wiper system, manual hood release, heater only, non a/c. Rallye gauges with 150 MPH speedo w/o clock or tach, and AM radio. The automatic slap-stick shift assembly and linkage is included. The car was originally painted white, with a black interior. The body numbers match, i have a clear IL title, includes dash vin, but no fender tag. I have not located a build sheet. When i acquired the car, it had a black 1972 model interior, mostly complete, seats, upper and lower door panels, head liner bows, A pillar trim, sun visors, rear view mirror. These items also are included with the package. Previous owner had it in storage in an old barn, and a storm related roof collapse caused the damage. It has a 1974 power bulge type hood on it now, and that has been damaged as well. “Sold as is”.
